If you’re going to go aurora viewing or stargazing, remember that the best time of the month to see the northern sky is during a new moon. When there’s a full moon, many stars and dim auroras are washed out. It’s important to check the time of moonrise and moonset before you head out. For moonrise and moonset information click here.
